The International Hospitality and Tourism (Hons) with Foundation Year program is designed for students who need additional preparation before starting a full degree program. This pathway is available at universities in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, and online, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all students.
The foundation year focuses on building essential academic and professional skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. It also introduces students to key concepts in hospitality and tourism, including customer service, marketing, and tourism economics. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students progress to the three-year International Hospitality and Tourism (Hons) program, where they can specialize in areas such as Event Management, Sustainable Tourism, or Hotel Operations.

Foundation Year: Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism, Academic Skills Development, Principles of Business, Basic Economics, and Customer Service Fundamentals.
Year 1: Principles of Marketing, Tourism Economics, Customer Experience, and Hospitality Operations.
Year 2: Event Planning, Sustainable Tourism, Digital Marketing in Hospitality, and Hotel Management.
Year 3: Strategic Management, Global Tourism Development, Leadership in Hospitality, and a Capstone Project or Dissertation.

Education Route:

You can qualify if you have:

✅ A Level 3 qualification (equivalent to 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points) OR

✅ Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) OR

✅ No formal education? No problem! We offer opportunities for you to start your learning journey.

Experience Route:

If you don’t meet the academic criteria, you may still qualify with:

✅ 6 months to 1 year of work experience within the last 12 months.
