The Criminology and Psychology with Foundation Year program is designed for students who need additional preparation before starting a full degree program. This pathway is available at universities in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, and online, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all students.
The foundation year focuses on building essential academic and professional skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and research methods. It also introduces students to key concepts in criminology and psychology, including criminal behavior, mental processes, and social influences. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students progress to the three-year Criminology and Psychology (Hons) program, where they can explore the intersection of crime and human behavior.

Foundation Year: Introduction to Criminology, Academic Skills Development, Research Methods, Basic Sociology, and Communication Skills.
Year 1: Criminal Justice System, Theories of Crime, Policing and Society, and Crime and Media.
Year 2: Forensic Criminology, Youth Justice, Crime Prevention, and Research Methods in Criminology.
Year 3: Global Criminology, Criminal Behavior, Applied Criminology, and a Capstone Project or Dissertation.
