  • The Health and Care Management (Hons) with Foundation Year program is designed for students who need additional preparation before starting a full degree program. This pathway is available at universities in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, and online, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all students.
  • The foundation year focuses on building essential academic and professional skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. It also introduces students to key concepts in healthcare management, including healthcare systems, ethics, and patient care. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students progress to the three-year Health and Care Management (Hons) program, where they can specialize in areas such as Healthcare Leadership, Health Policy, or Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
  • Foundation Year: Introduction to Healthcare Systems, Academic Skills Development, Principles of Management, Basic Economics, and Communication in Healthcare.
  • Year 1: Healthcare Operations Management, Financial Management in Healthcare, Health Policy and Ethics, and Leadership in Health and Care.
  • Year 2: Quality and Safety in Healthcare, Global Health Issues, Innovation in Healthcare, and Patient-Centered Care.
  • Year 3: Strategic Management in Healthcare, Advanced Leadership, Research Methods in Healthcare, and a Capstone Project or Dissertation.

    Education Route:

    You can qualify if you have:

    ✅ A Level 3 qualification (equivalent to 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points) OR

    ✅ Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) OR

    ✅ No formal education? No problem! We offer opportunities for you to start your learning journey.

    Experience Route:

    If you don’t meet the academic criteria, you may still qualify with:

    ✅ 6 months to 1 year of work experience within the last 12 months.
