This professionally oriented law degree equips you with practical skills to enhance your future employability. At the start of Level 6, you can choose a degree pathway that aligns with your career aspirations, whether that’s pursuing the SQE, Bar, or International Bar. You will also benefit from workshops outlining these pathways, alongside expert guidance to support your decision-making process.

SQE Pathway
For those aiming to qualify as solicitors in the UK, this pathway provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare for SQE1. Additionally, students can expand their expertise by selecting from a variety of elective modules.

Bar Pathway
This pathway is ideal for students planning to become barristers. It includes EU Law, a critical subject within the Foundations of Legal Knowledge as outlined by the Bar Standards Board. Students will also have the option to deepen their learning by choosing additional elective modules.

International Bar Pathway
With a globally focused curriculum, this pathway is perfect for students aspiring to practice law outside the UK. The programme features a structured syllabus without optional modules and concludes with the Legal Dissertation module.

If you choose not to follow one of the designated pathways, you will automatically be enrolled in the SQE path, which includes the EU Law (Block A) and Legal Dissertation (Blocks B and C) modules. This ensures you graduate with a degree that holds relevance across a wide range of global professions.

Eligibility​

Three subjects at GCE A-Level or an equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including GCSE English.

English Language Requirements

TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.0 (at least 5.5 in each component), or an equivalent
As an alternative, you can provide proof that you have studied English before, like a letter proving that English was the medium of instruction.
