Data Mining
In today’s workplace and society, data holds significant value. This module teaches you how to manipulate and visualise data for informed decision-making across various industries. You’ll also gain proficiency in Python, a leading programming language in data science.

Web Application Development
Modern applications frequently run in web browsers as opposed to desktops. This module focuses on creating interactive, web-based systems by integrating skills in databases, programming, web design, and user experience.

Ethics, Quality, and Sustainability in Technological Environments
Explore the ethical challenges IT professionals encounter and analyse the potential consequences of their decisions using real-world examples. You’ll work with ethical frameworks and professional codes of conduct to understand their importance in shaping organisational practices. This module also addresses recent industry cases, emphasising the critical role of embedding ethical behaviour and sustainability in technology management.

Eligibility​

To qualify for this course, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Passes at grade C (grade 4) or above in three subjects at GCSE level, OR 45 credits at Level 2 or equivalent. If your qualifications are more than three years old, we may also request a professional CV.
  • Applicants with a minimum of 12 months of professional work experience may also be considered, provided a CV and reference are submitted as evidence.

This course is also available as a standard bachelor’s degree without a foundation year for those who meet the entry requirements.

English Language Requirements​

Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:

  • IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any component)
  • TOEFL iBT score of 80, or an equivalent qualification

An internal English test is also available for applicants who need to confirm their proficiency.
